A pediatric dentist is a dentist (drg) who continues to take specialist dental education for children and has completed a residency in the field of pediatric oral and dental health for several years.

Pediatric dentists will specialize in dealing with specific oral problems that occur in children, ranging from infancy to adolescence. Why?

The structure of the teeth and mouth of children is certainly much different from that of adults, so the problems that arise may be different and of course have different ways of handling.

A pediatric dentist may also be more appropriate for you to consult about your child's dentition. Baby teeth can appear at various ages.
