What is the pizotifen dosage for adults?
Usually the starting dose is 1.5 mg per day. Can be consumed into 1 1.5 mg tablet at night or split into 3 0.5 mg tablets.
Do not use more than 3 mg (2 1.5 mg tablets or 6 0.5 mg tablets) in 1 dose.
Do not use more than 4.5 mg (3 1.5 mg tablets or 9 0.5 mg tablets) a day.
What is the pizotifen dosage for children?
Child dosage is usually 1.5 mg daily. This dose should be divided into two or three smaller doses. Do not give children a dose of more than 1.0 mg at a time.
Warnings are needed for people with kidney and liver problems and an adjustment in the dosage is needed.
Pizotifen tablets are not recommended for children under 2 years of age.
