What happens if you have sex with dry conditions, aka semen doesn't come out? Some people wonder about this, can a couple get pregnant if this condition is like this? Come on, see the following explanation.

When the semen doesn't come out, is it possible to get pregnant?

Semen is a fluid that is produced when a man ejaculates. In this fluid there is a large number of sperm. Once ejaculated, male semen can contain as many as 300 million sperm which are ready to slide into the vagina.

When the sperm manages to enter and meet the woman's egg, pregnancy can occur. The sperm which fertilizes the female egg then develops into a zygote. This is the principle, the sperm must first meet the egg and then get pregnant.

So, if no sperm enters the egg, will pregnancy occur? The answer is of course no. When the egg is not fertilized by a single sperm, the egg will eventually dissolve, until the menstrual cycle occurs.

So if when the penis is penetrated in dry conditions, there is no fluid at all, you could say that the possibility of getting pregnant is almost non-existent. The reason is, sperm cannot live and move without male semen.

Not coming out of semen does not mean that the pre-ejaculation fluid doesn't come out

When the penis is erect, before a man reaches the ejaculatory phase (secretes semen), there is usually a pre-ejaculatory fluid that is produced and will come out first. The amount of this liquid is much less than cement. A man cannot consciously control the production of this fluid.

Well, if this fluid has passed out and entered the vagina, the possibility of pregnancy will be there. Because, despite the small amount of fluid, this pre-ejaculation fluid still contains thousands of sperm.

This means that the egg can still be fertilized by sperm from this pre-ejaculation fluid. So if the semen doesn't come out but this pre-ejaculatory fluid comes out, then the possibility of getting pregnant is still there.

The point is this, as long as the penis is completely dry or there is no discharge whatsoever, either semen or pre-ejaculation, there is very little or almost no chance that a woman can get pregnant. However, if you don't ejaculate (orgasm) but the penis is still wet from pre-ejaculatory fluid, there is still a chance of getting pregnant.

So if you don't want to get pregnant yet, use safe contraception during sex. For example condoms or birth control pills. Meanwhile, if you are trying to get pregnant but your husband does not come out of his semen, immediately consult a doctor.

Find out what causes your semen to not come out

Even if you feel no semen comes out or only very little, this doesn't mean you can't fertilize an egg. Conditions such as retrograde ejaculation or delayed ejaculation, even if you see very little or sometimes no semen, does not mean you don't release semen that contains sperm.

1. Retrograde ejaculation

Retrograde ejaculation is a condition that occurs when semen that should have been expelled from the penis actually enters the bladder. This is because the bladder neck muscles cannot tighten during orgasm. This condition is also known as dry orgasm.

Even though a man has reached his sexual climax, retrograde ejaculation causes very little or no semen to come out of the penis. Retrograde ejaculation does not affect a man's ability to reach climax, it is a problem with the direction in which semen passes into the bladder.

When the semen that comes out is still small, the possibility of getting pregnant is still there but it tends to be more difficult. Therefore, one of the symptoms of retrograde ejaculation is that it is difficult to have offspring.

If you and your partner have had sex regularly for a year or more but are not pregnant yet, you should visit your gynecologist.

2. Delayed ejaculation

Delayed ejaculation is a condition when a man needs longer and more intense sexual stimulation. In some cases, ejaculation cannot even be achieved at all without proper stimulation.

Although this condition does not pose a serious medical risk, men are usually so stressed that they are not satisfied with having sex. Indeed, the man is finding it difficult to remove sperm and fertilize an egg in the vagina.

Can get pregnant or not because of this condition depends on the cause. This condition can be caused by certain health problems, taking medication, or mental disorders.

Handling that is done usually you have to work with your partner to find the most satisfying stimulation. In addition, if necessary, the doctor will also provide special drugs to treat the cause. If you cannot physically determine the cause, you may need to undergo psychological therapy.

If none of the treatments offered work, it's still a way to get pregnant. For example, with a special method such as a doctor taking sperm in a man's body and inserting it into the woman's vagina during the fertile period. This method is known as sperm injection or ICSI.
