Enhances hypoglycemic effect w / ACE inhibitors, alcohol, allopurinol, some analgesics, azole antifungals, chloramphenicol, cimetidine, clofibrate and related compounds, coumarin anticoagulants, halofenates, heparin, MAOIs, octreotide, ranitidine, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonamidine and thyroid hormone. β-blockers improve hypoglycemia and mask the typical sympathetic warning signs.
