4. Children's insomnia

5. Idiopathic insomnia

This type of insomnia is usually caused by the intake of stimulants from the consumption of certain drugs, caffeine, alcohol, and / or certain foods - for example, spicy foods - so you don't feel like sleeping well.

The only way to stop insomnia is to stop using drugs or foods and drinks that contain a chemical compound that makes it difficult for you to sleep.

7. Insomnia due to medical conditions

Several types of mental disorders can cause insomnia as a symptom. For example, depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. ADHD, although not classified as a mental illness, can also cause sleep problems.

8. Nonorganic insomnia

10. Paradoxical insomnia
