1. Sweet potato balls

3. Fruit sorbet

If the child doesn't like to eat cut fruit, make it into sorbet. Sorbet is ice made from fruit, water, and sweetener (sugar or honey) without milk and cream.

Choose fruits that are low in potassium and phosphorus, such as strawberries, grapes, pineapples, watermelon, or pears. Avoid making ice from bananas, avocados, oranges, melons, and dates.

How to make fruit sorbet:

  1. Cut selected fruit into large cubes, and store in freezer at least 3-4 hours until frozen (can be overnight).
  2. When ready to serve, blend the fruit until it is smooth and has a texture like shaved ice.
  3. You can add liquid sugar, honey, or lemon juice to taste.
