What is OCD?

How do you deal with OCD?
Just because you like things a certain way or arrange your shoes or clothes in alphabetical order, doesn't mean you have OCD. However, if your obsessive thoughts or ritual behavior feels out of your control or is interfering with your life, it's time to seek treatment.
Treatment usually involves psychotherapy, behavior modification therapy, or psychiatric drugs, alone or in combination. According to Harvard Medical School , with treatment, about 10 percent of patients fully recover and about half of patients show some improvement. Also talk to your family or closest people about the symptoms you feel. Their support and understanding is important to you.
