Cavities are a condition that indicates the breakdown of tooth enamel, aka the hard outer layer of teeth. This condition can be a problem in children, adolescents, and adults. A layer of bacteria that sticks to your teeth, or what is called plaque, will continue to form on your teeth.   • Lack of minerals in your diet (calcium deficiency, magnesium deficiency and phosphorus deficiency)
  • Lack of fat soluble vitamins such as vitamins A, D, E, and K (especially vitamin D)
  • Too much eating foods rich in phytic acid
  • Too much refined sugar

How to care for cavities

1. Consume lots of vitamin D

Vitamin D is important for building strong teeth and bones, as it is a major factor in the healing of cavities. Vitamin D can also help prevent gingivitis because it is anti-inflammatory.

Calcium flows in and out of your teeth to the parts of your body that need it, and it is vitamin D that regulates this process. When we are deficient in vitamin D, your teeth don't get calcium, and what's worse, the calcium in your teeth will be taken up by other parts of your body. When this continues, you will develop periodontal disease and weakened teeth.

Vitamin D is also responsible for creating cementum that binds your teeth to the bones in your mouth. Genes that control periodontal disease are regulated by vitamin D-controlled receptors.

You can get vitamin D from morning sunlight, fermented cod liver oil, vitamin D supplements, tuna fish, fortified milk, egg yolks, and beef liver.

2. Consume lots of vitamins K1 and K2

Dr. Weston Price terms vitamin k as "X-Factor". Her research describes the case history of a 14 year old girl who had 48 cavities. The girl took vitamin K extract, high-vitamin butter oil, and fermented cod liver oil three times a day for 7 months. 3. Avoid foods that cause cavities

Avoid foods that can cause tooth decay, such as:
