What is the function of the Aspir 81?

Aspir 81 is a drug commonly used to treat pain and reduce fever or inflammation. Can also be used for the main prevention of thromboembolic and cardiovascular disorders, such as: ischemic stroke, transient ischemic attack, acute myocardial infarction, preventing stroke relapse, unstable angina pectoris, chronic stable angina pectoris.

In addition, Aspir 81 is also used for the second prevention of cardiovascular disease in individuals with diabetes mellitus especially in the following subgroups: history of myocardial infarction, vascular bypass procedures, stroke or transient ischemic attack, and angina. Also used in individuals with additional risk factors: hypertension, smoking, dyslipidemia, and a family history of cardiovascular disease.

If you have recently had surgery on a blocked artery (such as bypass surgery, carotid endarterectomy, coronary stent), your doctor may recommend that you use low-dose aspirin as a blood thinner to prevent blood clots.

How do you use the Aspir 81?

Available in tablet form to take by mouth, with or without food, swallow the tablet with a glass of water.

Do not chew, crush, or bite the film coated tablet.

How to store Aspir 81?

Aspir 81 is best stored at room temperature, away from direct light and damp places. Don't keep it in the bathroom. Don't freeze it. Other brands of this drug may have different storage rules. What should I pay attention to before using the Aspir 81?

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding. This is because, when you are expecting or feeding a baby, you should only take drugs recommended by your doctor.
• You are taking other drugs. This includes drugs that can be purchased without a prescription, such as herbs and additional medicines.
• You have an allergy to the active or inactive ingredients of Aspir 81 or other medications.
• You've had stomach or intestinal bleeding: liver disease, kidney disease, gout, or heart disease, high blood pressure, or congestive heart failure: bleeding disorders such as hemophilia, or asthma attacks or severe allergic reactions after taking aspirin or NSAIDs such as Advil, Motrin, Aleve, Orudis, Indocin, Lodine, Voltaren, Toradol, Mobic, Relafen, Feldene, and others.

Aspir 81 should not be given to children or adolescents who have a fever, especially if the child has flu or smallpox symptoms. Aspir 81 can cause a serious or fatal condition called Reye's syndrome in children.

Is Aspir 81 safe for pregnant and lactating women?

There are no adequate studies regarding the risks of using this drug in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Always consult your doctor to weigh the potential benefits and risks before using this medication. This drug is included in the risk of pregnancy category D in the 3rd trimester according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Aspir 81 and its metabolites can be absorbed in breast milk in small quantities. Since no adverse effects on the infant are observed after use, interruptions during breastfeeding are usually unnecessary. However, with regular use or high doses, breastfeeding should be stopped immediately.

Drug Interactions

Aspir 81 can react with other drugs that you are taking, which could change how your medication works or increase your risk of serious side effects. • Mifepristone
• Acetazolamide

• Corticosteroids (such as prednisone), methotrexate, valproic acid

What is the dosage for Aspir 81 for adults?

Ischemic stroke, transient ischemic attack:

• Initial dose: 50-325 mg once daily
• Maintenance dose: continue therapy

Acute myocardial infarction:

• Initial dose: 160 mg as soon as an acute myocardial infarction is detected
• Maintenance dose: 160 mg per day for 30 days after acute myocardial infarction. After 30 days, consider further therapy depending on prevention of recurrence of acute myocardial infarction.

Prevention of recurrence of MI, unstable angina pectoris and acute stable angina pectoris, primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease in patients with type 1 or type 2

Diabetes mellitus:

• Initial dose: 75-325 mg once daily
• Maintenance dose: continue therapy

Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG):

• Initial dose: 325 mg once daily starting 6 hours after the procedure
• Maintenance dose: continue therapy for 1 year after the procedure

Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA):

• Initial dose: 325 mg given 2 hours before angioplasty
• Maintenance dose: 160-325 mg once daily. Continue with therapy.

Carotid Endarterectomy:

• Initial dose: 80 mg once daily to 650 mg twice daily, starting from before surgery
• Maintenance dose: continue therapy

Prevention of pregnancy complications: Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension, Preeclampsia, Intrauterine Growth Retardation, pregnancy with certain conditions (such as SLE, Positive Cardiolipin Antibody Test):

Maintenance dose: 80 mg per day starting from weeks 13-26 of gestation.

What is the dose of Aspir 81 for children?

The dosage for children has not been determined. May be a danger to your child. It is very important to always know the safety of drugs before taking them. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

In what forms is the Aspir 81 available?

Aspir 81 mg is available in coated tablet format.

What should I do in an emergency or overdose?

In case of an emergency or overdose, contact the local emergency services provider (119) or immediately to the nearest hospital emergency department.

It is very important to carry a written list of all the prescription and nonprescription drugs you are taking in an emergency.

What should I do if I forget to take / take medicine?

If you forget a dose of Aspir 81, take it as soon as possible. However, when it is nearing the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and return to the usual dosing schedule. Don't double the dose.
