How is butenafine used?

Use this medication only on the skin. Clean and dry the part to be treated thoroughly.

Apply a thin layer of the drug around the infected area and gently. Apply the medication 1 to 2 times a day according to the directions on the packaged product. Do not wrap or bandage the area unless your doctor recommends it.

Wash hands after using unless hands are part of being treated. Do not apply this medication to the eyes, nose, or mouth, inside the vagina, or on the scalp. If you get the medicine in that part, wash it with water.

The dosage and length of treatment depend on the type of infection being treated. Do not use it more or for longer than recommended. This carries the risk of increasing side effects.

Use this remedy regularly for optimal benefits. To help you remember, use it at the same time each day.
