Before you give chlorphenamine products to children, check the packaging label to find out how much medicine your child should take. Give a dose appropriate for your child's age. Ask your pediatrician if you don't know how much medication to give your child.
If you are using liquid medicine, do not use a household spoon to measure your dose. Use a measuring spoon or cup that comes with the medicine or use a spoon specially made for measuring medicine.
If you are using an extended release tablet or capsule, swallow it whole. Do not break, crush, chew, or open it.
