Amount swallowed unknown: infusion 800 mg IV if ingested acutely, 240 mg IV if ingested chronically.

Dosage for Single Large Dose Swallowed:

Dosage (in # of bottles) = (Total body digitalis load in mg) / (0.5 mg of bound digitalis per bottle).

Total body digitalis load mg = (number of tablets / capsule swallowed) x (strength of mg tablets / capsule) x (bioavailability of tablets / capsules). digoxin and elixir tablets are 80% biologically available, digoxin capsules and injection are 100% biologically available.
