What does Duofilm do?

Duofilm is a drug commonly used to get rid of calluses and warts.

This medication may be prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

How do I use Duofilm?

First, clean calluses or warts with warm water for about 5 minutes to soften the area to be treated. Dry it.

Your doctor may instruct you to use a pumice stone, callused sandpaper, or emery board to gently peel off the outer layer of skin and before using the medication. Exfoliation of dead skin is only to help the treatment to be more optimal. Don't try to peel off the calluses or warts yourself.

Apply a thin layer of medication to cover warts or calluses using an applicator if provided. Be careful when applying it to infected areas and do not come in contact with uninfected skin. Let it dry for 5 minutes.

Avoid the eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Flammable product.

How do I save Duofilm?

Duofilms are best stored at room temperature, away from direct light and damp places. Don't keep it in the bathroom. Don't freeze it. Other brands of this drug may have different storage rules. Observe the storage instructions on the product package or ask your pharmacist. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.

Do not flush medicines down the toilet or down the drain unless instructed to do so. Discard this product when it has expired or when it is no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company about how to safely dispose of your product.

What should I pay attention to before using Duofilm?

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if:

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding. This is because, when you are expecting or feeding a baby, you should only take drugs recommended by your doctor.
• You are taking other drugs. This includes drugs that can be purchased without a prescription, such as herbs and additional medicines.
• You have an allergy to the active or inactive ingredients of Duofilm or other medications.
• You have other illnesses, disorders, or medical conditions such as liver or kidney problems, skin infections, or skin irritations.

Do not use Duofilm if you have diabetes or poor blood circulation.

Is Duofilm safe for pregnant and lactating women?

Safety in human pregnancy has not been established. Studies show that animals treated with salicylic acid produce toxicity to embryos at high doses.

Duofilms are not recommended during pregnancy.

Salicylates are excreted in human milk. Duofilms are not recommended during breastfeeding. If used or registered while breastfeeding, precautions should be taken in the nipple area to avoid ingestion by the baby.

Side effects

What are the possible side effects of Duofilm?

Duofilm can cause side effects such as:

What is the Duofilm dosage for adults?

Use every day on the infected area only.

Duofilm should be applied directly to the wart once a day, preferably at bedtime.

What is the dosage of Duofilm for children?

Children under 12 years of age should be given supervised care.

Treatment for babies under 2 years is not recommended.

In what forms is Duofilm available?

Duofilm is available in the form of Duofilm Topical Solution 15 ml: Salicylic Acid 16.7%, Lactic Acid 15%.

What should I do in an emergency or overdose?

In case of an emergency or overdose, contact the local emergency services provider (119) or immediately to the nearest hospital emergency department.

It is very important to carry a written list of all the prescription and nonprescription drugs you are taking in an emergency.

What should I do if I forget to take / take medicine?

If you forget a dose of Duofilm, use it as soon as possible. However, when it is nearing the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and return to the usual dosing schedule. Don't double the dose.
