Cause back pain and diarrhea simultaneously

Back pain (which is also described as lower back pain) and diarrhea are two fairly common problems. The two also used to appear separately. However, there are several health problems that can make back pain and diarrhea come together.

So even though it seems trivial, you should immediately consult a doctor. Because, it could be back pain and diarrhea that you experience is caused by one of the following conditions.

1. Appendicitis

Do you often experience back pain and diarrhea that keeps you from hindering your activities? It could be that you experience symptoms of appendicitis.

The inflammation from the appendix usually starts near your belly button and spreads to the lower right side of your stomach. However, some people have an appendix which is located behind the colon. Because of this, the symptoms of an inflamed appendix can also be characterized by low back pain.

Symptoms of appendicitis can also be accompanied by diarrhea or constipation, fever, nausea and vomiting, so that it is difficult to fart.

2. Kidney infection

Kidney infection is also known as pyelonephritis. Kidney infection is caused by the entry of bacteria or viruses in the bladder and infects the kidneys.

The hard stool can put pressure on the lower back, causing you to experience back pain, aka lower back pain. After being given laxatives, the pile of feces will come out and can cause diarrhea for days.

4.Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

Reporting from Healthline, about 10-15 percent of people in the world experience irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). IBS is a digestive disease that affects the work of the colon, usually characterized by abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, or constipation.

Everyone can experience different symptoms of IBS and they tend to come and go. If the ulcer or wound in the intestine is very severe, the wound can make a hole in the intestinal wall, causing pain to other organs, including the back.

In addition to back pain and diarrhea, you may experience constipation and diarrhea at the same time which occur alternately. Even so, this is not a typical symptom of IBS.

5. Enteropathic arthritis

Enteropathic arthritis is a type of arthritis associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). People with colitis usually experience stomach pain. However, if IBD is accompanied by arthritis, the symptoms include back pain and diarrhea.

6. Pancreatic cancer

Although it seems trivial and easy to treat, low back pain and diarrhea that you experience can also be a sign of pancreatic cancer.

Symptoms of pancreatic cancer vary from person to person, depending on the location of the cancer and its stage. There are those who do not feel any symptoms, but there are also those who experience disturbing symptoms of cancer. Among them:

• Upper abdominal pain
• Back pain
• Nausea
• Dark urine
• Jaundice
• Weight loss drastically
• No appetite
• Diarrhea
• Nausea and vomiting
