How to use Permethrin?

This drug is external medicine, only used on the skin only. Use this medication as soon as possible after it is recommended. Apply the medication from head to toe, including under the nails and in the folds of skin such as between the toes as recommended. Massage the cream into the skin. Do not take more medication than was prescribed. Wash off the cream after 8-14 hours in the shower.

Avoid getting the cream into your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina. If the medicine gets in your eyes, flush eyes with plenty of water. Consult your doctor if irritation occurs.

Symptoms of scabies include itching which is usually worse when sleeping. You can also see fine, wavy lines on the skin with tiny insects at the end (burrows). Burrows are usually found in the webs of the fingers, toes, wrists, elbows, armpits, belt line, lower buttocks, female nipples, or male genitals. Even if permethrin kills all of these insects, the dead mites can still itch for up to 4 weeks after treatment. Ask your doctor about other medicines that can be used to relieve hives. Tell your doctor if your condition remains the same or worsens in the 2 weeks after treatment. Your doctor will likely need to look for live mites and recommend more intensive treatment.

How is Permethrin stored?

This medication is best stored at room temperature, away from direct light and damp places. Don't keep it in the bathroom. Don't freeze it. Other brands of this drug may have different storage rules. Usual Adult Dose for Scabies

Topical Permethrin 5% cream:

Massage it on the skin from the neck to the soles of the feet. The cream should be washed off (bathing) after 8 to 14 hours.

Adult Dose for Head lice

Topical Permethrin 1% Kit:

Apply lotion or cream, then use shampoo, rub it all over the head (especially behind the ears and on the nape of the neck). Leave the hair for 10 minutes and rinse with water. Use the comb and / or gloves provided to remove egg debris.

Topical Permethrin 1% solution:
