- Diarrhea that is watery or bloody
- Confusion, hallucinations, depression, tremors, feeling restless or anxious, unusual behavior, insomnia, nightmares, seizures
- Severe headache, ringing in your ears, nausea, visual disturbances, pain behind your eyes
- Pale skin, fever, weakness, easy bruising or bleeding
- Nausea, upper abdominal pain, hives, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes)
- Urinating less than usual or not at all
- Numbness, burning pain, or tingling in the hands or feet
- The first sign of any skin rash, no matter how mild
- Severe skin reaction, fever, sore throat, swelling of the face or tongue, burning in your eyes, skin pain, followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (especially on the face or upper body) and causes blistering and peeling.

Drug Interactions
What medicines should not be taken together with Tavanic?

- The use of Tavanic with iron salt, zinc-salt, antacid, ddI can significantly reduce Tavanic absorption.
- The use of Tavanic with Sucralfate causes a significant reduction in the bioavailability of Tavanic.
- Use of Tavanic with Theophylline, fenbufen or a similar non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug can lower the threshold for brain seizures.
- The use of Tavanic with Probenecid and cimetidine significantly affected levofloxacin clearance.
- The use of Tavanic with Cyclosporine increased the half-life of cyclosporine by 33%.
- Tavanic with class IA and III antiarrhythmics, tricyclic antidepressants, macrolides, antipsychotics to prolong QT interval.

Acute bacterial sinusitis: 500 mg once daily, 10-14 days.
Acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis: 500 mg once daily, 7-10 days.
Community pneumonia: 500 mg once or twice daily, 7-14 days.
Pyelonephritis: 500 mg once daily, 3-10 days.
Complications of urinary tract infections 500 mg once a day, 7-14 days.
Uncomplicated cystitis: 250 mg once daily, 3 days.
Chronic bacterial prostatitis: 500 mg once daily, 28 days.
Complications of skin infections and soft tissue infections: 500 mg once or twice a day, 7-14 days.
Anthrax Inhalation: 500mg once daily, 8 weeks.
