Terbinafine What Medicine?
What is terbinafine for?
Terbinafine is a drug commonly used to treat various fungal skin infections such as ringworm, calluses, and jock itch (jock itch). This medication also helps relieve itching, burns, cracked skin, and scaly skin that can result from this fungal infection. Terbifamine is an anti-fungal medication that works by preventing mold growth.
How is terbinafine used?
Apply this medication only to the skin.
Clean and dry the wound area thoroughly. Apply a thin layer on and around the infected skin area, usually once a day as indicated on the product label. If you are unsure if this information exists, consult your doctor and pharmacist.
Wash your hands immediately after use, unless the part being handled includes the hands. Do not wrap, cover, or bandage the treated area unless recommended by your doctor.
Avoid contact of the drug with the eyes, nose, or mouth, or the inside of the vagina. If in contact, rinse under running water
Do not use this medication on the scalp or fingernails unless directed by your doctor.
It is not recommended to take these medicines in excess of the dosage prescribed by your doctor. Increasing the dose does not guarantee the speed of the healing process, and will increase the risk of side effects.
Use this drug regularly to get optimal benefits. To help you remember, apply this medication at the same time every day. Do not stop using this medication before consulting a doctor.
Use this medication until it runs out within the lifetime prescribed by your doctor. Stopping the dose too early risks the infection returning due to the growing number of bacteria in the body.
Your condition will continue to improve after the full treatment is complete. It may take several weeks after treatment for the infection to fully recover. Call your doctor if your condition worsens or doesn't get better in 2 weeks.

Observe the storage instructions on the product package or ask your pharmacist. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.
