Dark underarms are not a sign of any medical conditions. Even so, for most people, having black or dark underarm skin is a troublesome problem. Especially when you have to wear sleeveless clothes. Dark underarm skin can be caused by several factors, such as shaving too often, using chemical hair removal waxes, buildup of dead skin, underarm skin breathing less and using alcohol-based deodorants. Blackened underarm skin is a skin reaction due to exposure to an element, much like the tanning process of skin due to sun exposure to UV rays.
Below we summarize easy care tips to lighten dull underarm skin that you can do yourself at home.
1. Exfoliate
The buildup of dead skin will automatically cause discoloration of your underarms. To fix this, use natural scrubs and scrubs to remove dull skin due to dead skin cells.
Natural scrubs are safe to use on sensitive areas of the body, including the armpits. Rub the underarm area gently. Don't force or rub too hard to avoid skin irritation and swelling. You can also use loofah (loofah) to help scrub the skin.
Here's how to make a natural scrub:
- Mix enough lemon juice with sugar until it becomes a thick mixture. Apply it on your underarms and let it dry for 10 minutes. With your fingers, rub the underarms lightly so that the sugar grains can lift off the dead skin. Do scrubbing for 5 minutes, then rinse with warm water and apply a moisturizer.
- Make a mask from a mixture of honey, lemon juice and peanut powder. Apply it in the same way as the lemon mask above.
2. Potato juice
Potatoes have an acidity that has the potential to act as a natural skin whitener. Potato juice is the best natural bleach alternative that is less likely to cause irritation when compared to other whitening products. How to?
Slice a hand-sized potato and rub it directly on your armpits. Routinely do this every day, especially before bed. You can also take potato juice to make a mask, and apply it to your underarms for 10 minutes. Rinse with clean water. For best results, do this at least twice a day.
3. Lemon juice
Lemon not only contains natural bleaching ingredients, it is also rich in antiseptic properties. Lemon has been known as a natural remedy for various skin problems.

5. Cucumber slices
The acidity of the cucumber acts as a mild whitening agent for the skin. It's easy, rub cucumber slices on the skin of the armpits. You can also use crushed cucumber and rub it on your armpits.
