Everyone must have felt dreams while sleeping, some dreams may be beautiful or even bad. However, it turns out that there are some people who have never experienced dreams in their sleep.

Is there anyone who never dreams?

Dreams have become a source of fascination and mystery for researchers and the general public. Basically everyone dreams while sleeping, but not everyone remembers their dreams when they wake up from sleep.

A new study answers a number of hotly discussed questions about why people don't remember dreams. Although researchers can't say for sure whether people dream every night, the study is published in Journal of Sleep Research, indicates that we dream more often than we realize.

To get an objective sign that people are dreaming, the researchers used 289 people in the study sample with REM sleep disorders (Rapid Eye Movement) which is characterized by rapid eye movement and is the stage where dreams occur. During this phase, the body is paralyzed so that a person does not act on his dreams in sleep.

After they awoke, the study's authors gave a questionnaire asking people to answer whether they were dreaming or not. Even when they said they weren't dreaming, every single one of the participants showed signs that they were.

When we dream, we suspect this is the subjective experience of each person. The study also found that the brain activity of people who remembered their dreams was different from those of people who didn't remember what they dreamed last night. But the difference is related to memory, not to the dream itself. So most likely in sleep we dream even though we don't remember it when we wake up.

How can we remember our dreams?

Here are some ways you can be more aware of what happens to your subconscious mind while sleeping:

1. Be sensitive to the surrounding environment

The results suggest that people who have high memory may be more reactive to stimuli such as sounds, which can make it easier for them to wake up. This makes the person more likely to remember their dreams when they wake up.

2. The sleeper

People who wake up frequently at night also find it easier to remember their dreams in order to get a good night's sleep every day. But in this case, it's better if you improve your sleep cycle in order to get good quality sleep.

3. Avoid taking sleeping pills

Various medications such as hemorrhoid drugs affect how much time you spend if you have REM sleep disorder (the sleep phase when dreams occur), so in this case, the lack of memory and memory can actually correspond to the absence of the dream itself.

4. Take notes

If you are really serious about exploring with your subconscious, you can try to make a dream note that is written every time you wake up from sleep. If you are lazy to write, you can record using your cellphone to tell about your dreams. This can help you remember your dreams when you wake up.

5. Activate an alarm while sleeping

You may forget about your dream because you are startled by the sound of the alarm. This leaves you in a half-asleep state where you wake up with your dreams still in your mind as if wandering.
