Actually, shredded meat has a pretty good nutritional composition. beef itself is a very good source of protein for the body. From the 100 gram serving, beef contains 17.5 grams of protein.
In addition, beef is also known for its high content of B vitamins, iron and zinc.
Unfortunately, meat spoils quickly if left for a few days, especially if it is not stored in the right place. Raw meat can be an ideal breeding ground for microorganisms, including disease-causing bacteria, which make meat rot.
Meat is processed in various ways to make it more durable. One of them is drying it into beef jerky or shredded beef. The advantage is that this dry meat does not require special storage and can survive at room temperature for quite a long time.
In addition, the presence of various spices and salts that are used as spices for making shredded meat also adds mineral content to the meat. Some of them such as lemongrass and onions also contain antioxidants which are certainly good for the body.

One of them is thiamine or vitamin B1 which functions to help the body convert carbohydrates into energy. Thiamine is the vitamin most susceptible to heat from cooking compared to other vitamins.
The decrease in the amount of thiamine from processing by frying can reach up to 30 percent. Meanwhile, when boiled meat can lose thiamine up to 70 percent.
The protein content in meat will also decrease. Several studies have shown that cooking temperature can cause shrinkage of meat protein tissue.
This is because high temperatures, especially above 70 degrees Celsius, will coagulate the protein on the surface of the beef and eventually break down due to heat.
On the other hand, the fat content may increase because the additional oil used during the frying process combines with the fat already in the meat.
Thus, if the goal is to meet protein needs, you certainly cannot rely solely on eating shredded meat.
It would be better if the diet is also accompanied by other healthy side dishes such as vegetables, other processed meats, or eggs to make it more balanced. Shredded beef may be more appropriate as a flavor enhancer that will make the food more savory and delicious.
