South Korea on Monday (20/01) reported cases of infection novel coronavirus first. The virus is the same as coronavirus which since last December infected hundreds of people in the city of Wuhan, China, as well as two people in Thailand and one person in Japan.

Infection cases coronavirus first in South Korea happened to a 35-year-old woman who left Wuhan, China. He showed symptoms of high fever when he arrived at Incheon International Airport, Seoul, South Korea, Sunday (19/1) yesterday.
According to a statement by the South Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), the patient was immediately isolated and it was confirmed that he had not been exposed to other people. He was quarantined at the Incheon Hospital and is now in stable condition.
The patient said that he had been experiencing symptoms of fever and chills since Saturday (18/1). He has also taken flu medicine that he obtained from a hospital in Wuhan, as reported by the KCDC.
The KCDC also stated that in order to prevent the transmission of coronavirus like what happened in China, everyone including passengers and crew members was also investigated. There was no further information regarding the flight or the patient's health.
The spread that has occurred to several countries shows how serious the threat this virus carries. Therefore, China's National Health Commission has continued to step up prevention efforts over the past few weeks.
On January 1, Chinese health authorities closed the Huanan Market, which is thought to be the first site for the virus to appear. The city government has also given orders to install infrared thermometers at airports, terminals, train stations and docks since January 14.
