Treatment of chronic methaemoglobinaemia

Adults: 100-300 mg per day.

Urinary tract infection

Adults: 65-130 mg tid. Maximum dose: 390 mg / day.

Prophylaxis of oxalate urinary stone formation

Adults: 65-130 mg tid. Maximum dose: 390 mg / day.

Intravenous

Acute methaemoglobinaemia

Adults: as 1% solution in a dose of 1-2 mg / kg or 25-50 mg / m2 for several minutes. Repeat dose after 1 hour if necessary. Dosages of up to 300 mg daily have been used.

  • Intra-amniotic: Hemolytic anemia and hyperbilirubinemia in newborns.
