Maybe most of you are familiar with e-cigarettes. Some call it a vape. But is there the difference between e-cigarettes and e-cigarettes?
What is an e-cigarette?
An e-cigarette is a type of cigarette-like device that produces nicotine in the form of vapor, which the user then smokes. The world health organization (WHO) calls it the Electronic Nicotine Delivery System (ENDS).
Since when did e-cigarettes start to be used?
Believe it or not, e-cigarettes have been around since 1963. E-cigarettes were invented by Herbert A Gilbert, but were only truly modernized by a Chinese national, Hon Lik, in 2003, and spread around the world in the 2006s with various brands.
How is the development of e-cigarettes in Indonesia?
Even though it was only circulated throughout the world in 2003, now there are 466 variations of e-cigarette brands in Indonesia as of 2014. This figure has even managed to spend up to 3 billion in fund assets! This is due to the increasing number of e-cigarette sellers in Indonesia and the easier it is to get them at various prices, both at kiosks and via online.
Is there the difference between e-cigarettes and e-cigarettes?
E-cigarettes consist of 3 main elements, namely metal heaters, batteries, and cartridges filled with chemical liquids. This metal heater is known as the vape brow vaporizer. In most e-cigarettes, inhaling e-cigarettes will activate the battery which eventually heats the liquid in the cartridge and produces aerosol vapor, known as a vapor. In other words, vape is just a term for using e-cigarettes.
What is contained in e-cigarettes or vapes?
There are differences in e-cigarette liquid in each type. But in general, e-cigarettes consist of 4 types of solutions, namely:
- Nicotine. Often times the levels contained in e-cigarette packages do not match the levels listed on the packaging.
- Propylene glycol. The substance in the puff of smoke is commonly used as fog machine for theatrical events.
- And other substances such as metal, silica, etc.
Is it true that e-cigarettes can help quit smoking?
Initially, e-cigarettes were used as a therapy to quit smoking, but because of their unsafe effects on health, since 2010 the WHO has no longer recommended this therapy.
What is the effect of e-cigarettes?
- Causing addiction. Mainly because of the nicotine content in it.
- Can be misused to include dangerous things like marijuana, heroin.
- Many ex-smokers are returning to smoking because of the many opinions that say e-cigarettes are safe.
- Its other health effects still require a lot of further research.
