Why can't salted eggs be considered a healthy food?

Moreover, a salted egg can contain 300-600 mg of cholesterol, depending on the manufacturing process.

The manufacture of salted eggs that are deliberately salted with salt makes salted eggs contain a very high sodium content.

Eating foods that are high in salt means eating foods that are rich in sodium. In fact, WHO (World Health Organization) or the World Health Institute recommends a salt intake of only 5 grams (equivalent to 2,000 mg of sodium) per day. Consumption of salt above the allowable limit can contribute to the emergence of high blood pressure and increase the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Salted eggs are high in sodium

Sodium is a substance in the form of an electrolyte as well as a mineral. This substance is needed by the body to maintain the body's electrolyte balance, maintain water levels inside and outside the body's cells, and support the work of muscles and nerves.

It's rare for someone to experience sodium deficiency, except for people with diarrhea, malnutrition, and heart failure. Conversely, too much sodium is clearly not good for health because many serious illnesses lurk when your body is excess sodium.

Foods that are high in sodium are high in salt. Usually found in ready-to-eat food and processed or packaged food. Salted duck eggs or salted eggs are included in this food group.

In other words, consuming too many marinated duck eggs risks disrupting health. To avoid the possibility of hypertension or high blood pressure, you are advised to eat salty foods, including salted eggs, wisely.

Effects of excessive salt consumption

Eating a diet low in salt can help you avoid high blood pressure or hypertension. Excessive increase in blood pressure can lead to heart disease.

The heart's job is to pump blood to flow through the blood vessels. The compressive force generated when blood flows and pushes against the walls of blood vessels can be measured and is called blood pressure.

The higher the blood pressure, the harder the work of the heart is in pumping blood. High blood pressure or hypertension can lead to other serious diseases, including stroke, atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), kidney failure, and heart failure. In fact, a scientific study has shown that people who consume excessive salt have a higher risk of dying from a heart attack.

Salted duck eggs or salted eggs and other processed foods are delicious to add to side dishes, but you should still avoid eating too many salted eggs because they can increase your risk of developing hypertension.
