Vape or e-cigarettes are currently popular among both young people and adults. Vape offers many flavors to enjoy. In addition to the vape flavors to choose from, you can also choose various types of heating devices to heat the vape liquid or commonly known as a vaporizer. Yes, this vaporizer is available in various types.
What types of vapes are available?
There are many types of vaporizers that are bought and sold for e-cigarette connoisseurs, with various shapes and sizes. Previously, e-cigarettes were meant to help someone leave their smoking habit. However, it turns out that e-cigarettes can also harm your health.
The following are the types of vaporizers.
1. Type of pen
This pen-type vaporizer looks like a pen, as the name implies. The vaporizer pen is the smallest vaporizer that can be carried anywhere. The vaporizer pen can produce steam by heating the vape liquid. There are two types of heating elements to choose from to heat vape fluids, namely:
- Atomizer, is a heating element for heating vape liquid containing nicotine. The atomizer usually has to be replaced if the heat produced has decreased in quality, making the vape taste worse. Close to the atomizer, there is a tank as a place for the material to be heated.
- Cartomizer, is a combination of cartridge and an atomizer. In this arrangement, the heated component is in direct contact with the heating element.
To heat the heating element, the vaporizer pen requires a battery as energy. These batteries can be recharged and usually have a voltage of 3.7 V, but there are also batteries that can be regulated. This battery can have a power of up to 1300 mAh. Be careful with vape batteries as they can explode and put you in danger. Keep this appliance out of reach of children.

2. Portable type
Type of portable vape or also known as handheld vaporizer the shape is bigger than the vaporizer pen. However, this vaporizer can also be carried anywhere, just like a vaporizer pen. Even though it is bigger than a vaporizer pen, a portable vaporizer can still be put in your pocket.
Not much different from a vaporizer pen, a portable vaporizer also has a heating element and a battery component. However, with a portable vaporizer, the vape liquid does not come in direct contact with the heating element, resulting in better taste and less smoke. The battery in a portable vaporizer can usually last 2-3 hours or even more.
How much steam can be produced from the vape tool depends on the battery power, how many heating elements or wires are in the atomizer (usually 0.5 Ohm is optimal for producing heat), and the composition of the vape liquid (the higher the level vegetable glycerin , the more steam that can be generated). However, the high heat that can be generated from vaping devices can increase the risk of vapes exploding.
Remember, vape fluids definitely contain nicotine. Apart from that, it also contains basic ingredients and flavorings. This basic material consists of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin which levels vary. Propylene glycol more liquid and watery, meanwhile vegetable glycerin thicker and has a sweeter taste. However, both of these ingredients can cause you to experience an allergic reaction.
3. Type of desktop
Unlike the vaporizer pen and portable, this desktop type vaporizer is bigger and cannot be carried anywhere. This desktop vaporizer can only be used at home or in one place. Desktop vaporizers also require a flat surface to place them in, and require a constant supply of energy to function properly.

Since a stable supply of energy is required for this vaporizer function, of course desktop vaporizers can produce maximum heat, a sharper taste, and more steam than other vaporizers. The sharper the flavor of the vape and the more steam it produces may make vape users feel satisfied. However, be careful the more steam is produced, the higher the health risks that can be experienced.

Vape or e-cigarettes are considered safer than regular cigarettes. However, it turns out that the risks of inhaling e-cigarettes are not much different from ordinary cigarettes. In a journal published by Circulation, it is stated that high amounts of nanoparticles are found in vapor inhalers.
These nanoparticles are toxic, can build up in the lungs and cause inflammation. Vapor inhalation has been linked to asthma, stroke, heart disease and diabetes. Other studies have also found that the vapor produced by e-cigarettes contains a solvent, which contains nicotine and flavorings. These solvents can cause irritation to the lungs.
The higher the heat and the more steam generated, the more vape users enjoy it. However, the more steam is produced, the more nicotine is contained in each puff. In addition, the higher the heat generated can also trigger the breakdown of the solvent, so that the solvent can turn into a more dangerous compound, namely carbonyl. These carbonyl compounds, for example, are formaldehyde and acetaldehyde which can cause cancer. The higher the vaporizer's power can even produce the same formaldehyde found in tobacco smoke.
Apart from nicotine and solvents, vape vapor also contains flavorings and preservatives. Although both may be safe, they can also be harmful to health when inhaled and enter the respiratory tract.
