Legg-Calve-Perthes disease is a condition of reduced blood flow to the head component of the femur in the hip joint. Lack of blood flow to the head of the femur resulting in hip problems and ankylosis. Usually only one hip is affected, but sometimes symptoms can appear on both sides.
