What is barren?

Meanwhile, women are said to be infertile when their ovaries cannot release an egg, so that a woman cannot release an egg to be fertilized.

Even so, your sexual function is still working normally. However, unfortunately you cannot have children. Yes, infertility cannot be treated in any way, it is different from infertility. However, many people think that he is infertile even though he is just not fertile. This condition made him despair so that it was even more difficult for him to have children.

What causes a person to become infertile?

Infertility can occur when sperm in male or female eggs cannot be produced, so fertilization cannot occur. One of the causes of infertility is due to cancer treatment or chemotherapy. In addition, infertility in women can also occur due to premature menopause, in which the ovaries stop releasing eggs before the age of 40. Genetic disorders can also cause infertility.

Chemotherapy in men can cause damage to the testicles so that they cannot produce sperm. Chemotherapy can make the number of male sperm production decrease (oligospermia), or even none at all (azoospermia). This condition can occur over a long period of time or even be permanent.

Is it infertile?

Many factors can cause a person to be infertile. The causes of infertility in men and women also vary.

The cause of women is infertile

Ovulation disorders (egg release). This can occur due to hormonal disorders, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), hyperprolactinemia, hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.
Abnormalities in the uterus or cervix, such as abnormalities with the opening of the cervix, the presence of polyps in the uterus, the presence of fibroids (benign tumors) in the uterus, or abnormalities in the shape of the uterus.
Damage to the fallopian tubes, due to inflammation of the fallopian tubes (salpingitis).
Endometriosis, occurs when endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus. This affects the function of the ovaries, uterus, and fallopian tubes.
Pelvic adhesions, which can occur after pelvic infections, surgery on the appendix, abdomen, or pelvis.
Cancer and cancer treatment, radiation and chemotherapy in women can affect fertility.
Certain conditions associated with delayed puberty or the cessation of menstruation (amenorrhea), such as celiac disease, uncontrolled diabetes, and some autoimmune diseases (such as lupus).

The cause of male infertility

Abnormalities in sperm production or function, can occur due to problems with the testicles, genetic defects, health problems, or infections. Varicoceles or enlarged blood vessels in the testicles can also affect sperm quality.
Problems with sperm excretion due to sexual problems, such as premature ejaculation, certain genetic diseases (such as cystic fibrosis), structural problems (for example, a blockage in the testicles), or damage to the reproductive organs.
Environmental factors, such as exposure to pesticides and other chemicals, radiation, smoking, alcohol, or certain drugs. Exposure to heat from the environment can also raise body temperature, which can affect sperm production.
Cancer and cancer treatments, such as radiation or chemotherapy, which can interfere with sperm production.
