Use
What is Oseni's medicine for?
Oseni is an oral diabetes medication that is given if lifestyle changes (diet and exercise programs) do not bring maximum results in controlling blood sugar levels in a person. Oseni is used for adult patients with type two diabetes. Patients with type one diabetes do not use Oseni as a treatment therapy.
Good blood sugar control can prevent you from kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and problems with sexual function. Blood sugar that is well controlled will also lower your risk of heart attack or stroke.
Oseni consists of a combination of two drugs, namely allogliptin and pioglitazone. Pioglitazone contained in Oseni works by restoring the body's response to insulin. Meanwhile, allogliptin works by increasing the body's natural hormone called incretin.
Incretin is a natural hormone in the body that helps control blood sugar by increasing the release of insulin, especially after eating. Incretin also functions to reduce the amount of sugar produced by the liver.
