- Starting dose: 50-325 milligrams (mg) by mouth once a day.
- Maintenance dose: continue with therapy
Adult dosage for acute myocardial infarction:
- Initial dose: 160 mg orally as soon as acute myocardial infarcts are detected.
- Maintenance dose: 160 mg daily for 30 days after acute myocardial infarction. After 30 days, consider therapy to prevent recurrence of acute myocardial infarcts.
