What is Sulfamethizole used for?

Weakening of the kidneys or liver; history of allergies or asthma; AIDS; G6PD deficiency (risk of haemolytic reactions); aging; ensure a balanced amount of fluid to reduce the risk of crystalluria. Discontinue if rash develops.
Is the drug Sulfamethizole safe for pregnant and lactating women?
There is no adequate research on the risks of using this drug in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Always consult your doctor to weigh the potential benefits and risks before using this medication. This medicine is included in the pregnancy risk category C. (A = No risk, B = No risk in some studies, C = Possible risk, D = There is positive evidence of risk, X = Contraindicated, N = unknown)
Side effects
What are the possible side-effects of Sulfamethizole?
Glossitis, stomatitis, proctitis, nausea, diarrhea, vaginitis, and dermatitis, other natural allergic reactions are also possible, although they are very rare. If you feel a reaction, strange, or appear allergic, stop treatment. Rare examples of esophagitis and esophageal ulcerations have been reported in patients receiving the capsule form of this drug in the tetracycline class. Most patients take this drug immediately before going to bed.
